Mayfield Aged Care has been providing aged care services to the Hunter area since 1982.
Our original “Waratah” accommodation wing was purchased by the current owners in 1982 and was then known as Mayfield Facility until the name was changed to Mayfield Aged Care in 1997. Extensive renovations were carried out in 2000. Currently the Waratah Wing is home for 13 residents.
Our West Wing was commissioned in 2009 Our West Wing was commissioned in 2009 and provides Care for 37 high care extra service residents, all of whom are accommodated in private rooms with ensuite.
Our new East Wing opened in August 2017 Residents began moving into our new East Wing in late August 2017. East Wing provides an additional 42 beds to our home.
Now an additional 22 new suites are available from 28th September 2020 taking the East Wing to a total of 64 beds.
Mayfield Aged Care is still family owned and run and strive to be the best aged care facility in Newcastle.
