Aged care fees are set and regularly updated by the Australian Government. These fees cover accommodation, daily care, and additional services, and vary depending on your individual circumstances.

Fee is approx. 85% of the full single pension.
Means Tested Care Fees are assessed by Centrelink based on the care recipient’s overall income and assets.
DAP calculated at MPIR rate of 7.65%
Fees are paid to Mayfield Aged Care by Direct Debit from your nominated bank account on the 15th day of each month.
RAD/DAP combination option - If a resident pays a part RAD, their reduced DAP is calculated as follows: Reduced DAP = (agreed full RAD − RAD paid) × MPIR / 365
Effective from 1st January 2025
RAD (Refundable Accommodation Deposit): A lump sum payment that is fully refundable when you leave care. The amount to be deducted will be calculated daily at a rate of 2% per annum and it will be limited to 5 years to protect residents who remain in care for a long time.
DAP (Daily Accommodation Payment): Interest charged on the unpaid RAD balance, calculated using the Maximum Permissible Interest Rate (MPIR).
Formula: Reduced DAP = (Full RAD − RAD Paid) × MPIR ÷ 365
Note: The Daily Care Fee of $65.55 applies to all room types and is separate from accommodation costs.
