Mayfield Aged Care is family own and run and strive to be the best aged care facility in Newcastle. 

Our primary focus is on the care and comfort of our residents and our staff are committed to providing that personal loving touch that only comes from genuine caring. We understand the emotional challenges of finding the right care and strive to make the transition as smooth as possible, respecting every resident’s unique needs and relationships.

We pride our selves on being one of the few stand alone facilities in Newcastle. This allows us the flexibility needed to cater for your loved one.

Phil Proctor

Founder, Director

Phil has owned Mayfield Aged Care since 1982. Moving to Newcastle to purchase the facility for a ‘few years’ quickly turned into a life dedicated to the residents and community in Newcastle.

Amy is a registered nurse of 16 years and has been working within aged care for 11 years.

Emily Mowbray

Facility Manager 

Emily is the Clinical Manager at Mayfield Aged Care. She has 10 years nursing experience & began working at Mayfield Aged Care in 2018.

Prior to her role as Care Manager she was a dedicated member of the RN team. 

Emily has a passion for aged care and a special interest for palliative care & wound management. Her favourite aspect of working in the aged care sector and at Mayfield Aged Care in particular, is being able to build meaningful relationships with Residents and their families & work closely with them to develop tailored care plans that meet their unique needs & preferences. Emily is dedicated to ensuring that our Residents are able to live with dignity & comfort and is passionate about making a positive impact on their lives.

Compliance Manager

Jo Is the Compliance Manager for Mayfield Aged care and has been in the roll for since early 2024.

 Jo has over 16 years’ experience in the Aged care and NDIS sector’s working in a variety of roles, including WHS, Education, Quality and compliance for Large Not for Profits and for smaller family run organisations.

Jo loves coming to work at Mayfield Aged Care and being able to “fix” the little things for our residents and staff, knowing that this can impact someone’s day in a positive way.

Clinical Care Manager

Candice is the clinical care coordinator and has been caring for residents of Mayfield Aged Care for 10 years now, 5 of those years as a Registered Nurse.

Her compassionate approach and unwavering commitment to high-quality care have made her an invaluable asset to the team. Recently, she transitioned to the Admin team, where she continues to excel in all areas proving a proactive approach and dedication to her new responsibilities to making a positive impact on the Mayfield Aged Care community.
